The jurisdictional function in Egypt generated substantial documentary production.
Most papers, as is evident, flowed into criminal and civil case files, within folders linked to offences, and are found in the archives of the civil and criminal courts.
However, there are also groups of records relating to the mere management of litigation:
- appointment of staff involved in the activity (assessor judges, experts, lawyers);
- management of individual specific cases;
- relations with Italy and/or the Governorate; summonses and service of documents.
